Harmony Revival Supported Living Services Limited

Complex Care

Complex care is person-centered specialist support for someone with a chronic or long-term health condition who needs extra help managing their symptoms and daily activities in order to maintain a high quality of life.

This type of care differs from general domiciliary care in that it usually includes some form of medical intervention as well as involvement with clinicians and nurses who specialise in that individual’s specific condition.

Complex care can refer to any condition that necessitates clinical assistance, such as Parkinson’s disease, acquired brain injuries, or a neurological condition. It can also be provided if someone needs nursing care as a result of their primary condition, such as a PEG feeding tube after a stroke.
